Ulster County Home to World’s Largest Kaleidoscope
Published Apr 15, 2006

Local kids, who often don’t even know what a kaleidoscope is, have the opportunity to see the largest one in the world.
The unusual attraction is located at Emerson Place in Ulster County, and is housed in what was once a farm silo. Visitors enter a darkened room, lean back, relax and watch the ceiling above them as it twirls into a number of patterns and pictures.
The kaleidoscope is open year-round to the public.
