New Leader at Albany-Colonie Chamber
Published Aug 20, 2008
It’s been 17 years since someone other than Lyn Taylor has been at the helm of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce, but that will change this fall.
Mark Eagan, who spent 21 years as a chamber executive in South Bend, Ind., will come to Tech Valley in October to succeed Taylor, who is retiring. Eagan is leaving South Bend, where the Midwest Academy of Nanoelectronics and Architectures, which will be led by Notre Dame University, has been established. The initiative has been compared to research and education matrix that has grown in Albany.
The Albany-Colonie chamber has 2,800 member companies.
