Cavers Have Options in New York’s Tech Valley

Gorges, chasms, caves and caverns are big business for the tourism folks in North Country and Schoharie County.

Ausable Chasm, High Falls Gorge, Howe Caverns and the Natural Stone Bridge and Caves are four good examples of the natural beauty that graces Tech Valley. Officials with these four attractions actually work together to market themselves as one big destination package through an “Explore the Four” campaign.

The combined four attractions allow tourists to see waterfalls, brooks, rushing waters and an underground lake, plus countless rock formations. The four sites are considered among New York State’s foremost environmental wonders.
